Hong Kong Innovation Foundation (HKIF) partnered with Social Venture of HK to launch the ‘Hong Kong Innovation Foundation – Better Living Hong Kong Award’ under the 12th Social Innovation Award (ASIA). The award aims to recognise social innovation that aspires to improve local livelihood in Hong Kong.

ASIA is the first regional social start-up competition promoting the culture of social innovation and exchange of ideas among Asian cities, launched by Social Ventures Hong Kong (SVhk) in 2008.

We are delighted to announce Heightened Senses and MedMind Technology as co-winners of the ‘HKIF – Better Living Hong Kong Award’. While Heightened Senses reintegrates the visually impaired into society via offering services combining Chinese medicine, sports therapy and acupressure massage, MedMind Technology leverages the local mahjong culture and data analysis to promote healthy ageing. Both start-ups demonstrate an innovative employment of resources, particularly leveraging cross-sector partnerships and community expertise to foster a healthier and happier city.
